Landmark is in the early stages of implementation of SharePoint Online.  Landmark's goal is a controlled release / implementation with a balance of functionality vs. control.  


Departmental SharePoint sites are being provisioned with these basic rules...

  • A team member is not a member of the Site or Team Admin role/group.  This is reserved for IT Administration.
  • All Team members should be members of the Member role.  
  • Permissions to the Document Libraries should be controlled via Active Directory Groups.



Granting Permissions to specific Sites / Teams


Project Management

  • All members of the Project Management department may be added to the Member roles of the Project Management TEAM in Microsoft Teams.
  • Users should be added to role specific Active Directory Groups which map to permissions sets in the Document Libraries.
    • Project Admins should be added to the "PM - Project Admins - LSLP" group.
    • Project Coordinators should be added to the "PM - Project Coordinators - LSLP" group.
    • Project Managers should be added to the "PM - Project Managers - LSLP" group.
