1. Launch the PROCORE app on your mobile device and sign in as needed. The app will open the most recent project you were viewing, or prompt you to select a project if you have not previously used the app. 

  2. Tap on the name of the project you are currently viewing to select a different project from the list of available projects or to search by project name or number. 
    • Select the specific project for which the Inspection should be completed.
    • Projects which do not exist as PROCORE Projects should use the EHSNPJ (EHS Non Procore Project) project. In general, this applies to projects with project numbers lower than 1662).

  3. Tap on Inspections tile to launch the project specific inspections tool. A list of inspections which are present on the job will be displayed.

  4. Tap on the plus ("+") button to create an Inspection and choose an appropriate Inspection template from the list. The Create an Inspection form will display.






  5. Fill out basic Inspection details and tap the Save button to begin the inspection.
    • The Status field should be set to Open until an inspection has been completed.
    • The Assignee should be the person conducting the inspection. This may or may not be the person who created the Inspection record.
    • The Inspection Date should be the date the inspection was performed.
    • The Due Date should be the inspection should be completed by.
    • The Private field may be used to restrict permissions to this Inspection. Marking an Inspection as Private will reduce the visibility of an Inspection although key stakeholders of Construction Operations, Field Operations, Project Management, Quality, Safety, and Management teams will retain access to this data.
    • The Description field will include a default value which may be edited as needed.

  6. Complete the details of individual inspection items. 
    • You may tap on the "i" icon to the right of the response options to add Comments, Photos, Attachments, or Observations.
    • The system will automatically prompt you to create an Observation for any inspection items for which a Failure response has been selected.
    • The history of all changes to the inspection item will be listed as part of the item details.








  7. When creating an observation... 
    • Choose the Observation Type from the list and fill out appropriate information. 
    • All Observation fields should be filled out.
    • You may attach any documents or photos illustrating the observation.
    • Tap the Save button to log the Observation.





  8. You may collect signatures for individual users who are involved in the Inspection. Users must have a PROCORE user account and must be listed in the Project Directory before they may be added to an Inspection. 
    • Tap the Add button in the Signatures section to add user signature fields for specific individuals who are involved with the inspection. 
    • Tap the Sign button to the right of specified users to launch the signature pad.
    • The user will be able to sign the inspection using a finger or stylus. 
    • Tap the Submit button in the upper right hand corner to save individual signatures.

  9. Saving the Inspection
    • There is no need to perform a Save action on the Inspection. The data is uploaded to the PROCORE Web App in real time over the internet. The data will be stored on the local device and uploaded later if network conditions do not allow for it to be uploaded immediately.

  10. Sending Observations
    All Observations are placed in an Outbox in the system upon creation. These must be Sent before the Assignee will be notified and the system moves the ball-in-court.
    • Return the Project home screen and tap on the Observations tile. The list of all Observations on the Project will be displayed.
    • Tap on the orange Send button in the top of the display. The Send button looks similar to a classic paper airplane.
    • You will be prompted to confirm you would like to send the Observations. Tap the Send button to confirm. The Assignee, Creator, and any users listed on the Distribution will receive an email alert. The ball-in-court will shift to the assignee and overdue notifications will trigger as needed.
